The 7 Milan Food Bloggers to follow

Lifestyle / Saturday, April 11th, 2020

Italy is full to the brim of food bloggers, but some of the most famous are based in Milan. Today I’d like to focus on these since Milan is the city where I live and write about.

Let’s start with “what is a food blogger?”: A food blogger is someone who, for business or hobby communicates through food, talks about food, writes about food … notice I didn’t mention the word “cook”, right? Well, a food blogger doesn’t necessarily have to cook to be considered such (although most do). Curious to discover who the best food bloggers in Milan are in my opinion?

Un Biscotto al Giorno – Monica the Food Blogger

I’ve been following Monica (@unbiscottoalgiorno) for years because of her fresh, genuine style that’s never over the top. In her blog she always shares recipes that are interesting and do-able, along with truly beautiful photos and an engaging editorial style. On Instagram, she discusses various topics from travel (the Iceland post is amazing) to TV series to beauty products. Her specialty: sweets!

Cuddles in the kitchen with Gipsy Alice and the Gitano

Alice, her Gitano and their “furry friends” Brie and Baku are one of the most beautiful families on the internet. Their blog (@agipsyinthekitchen) shares recipes and travels stories, mixed in with a bit of philosophy, from authenticity, sustainable economy and human compassion. Alice and Alessandro also organize private dinners (supper clubs) and workshops, both perfect gift ideas for those who love food and fireside warmth. The recipe to copy: the pastry!

L’appetito Vien Leggendo with Sara

Another Milanese (by adoption) food blogger is Sara (@saramilletti), who talks about cooking and travel on her blog, L’appetito vien leggendo or “Appetite comes with reading” (a play on words of an Italian saying, “appetite comes with eating”). On social media she focuses more on lifestyle, from trips discovering Italian excellence to reviews. I love her travel reports and the very engaging communication style, using surveys, questions and more.

Eat healthy with Elisa, Cinnamon Vibes

Elisa (@cinnamonvibes) is proof that you can eat and cook beautifully while keeping fit. Elisa’s blog is divided between delicious recipes, dinners out and intense workouts in the gym. She’s a girl with extreme grit, yet she’s extremely kindness. Do you remember the article I shared on the two days I spent in Parma? If you remember, I gave her a shout-out, thanking her for the many food-themed tips!

Marco, food blogger and at-home chef

If you are looking for a voice that stands out from the crowd with a super recognizable writing style, Marco @uomosenzatonno could be just what you are looking for. At-home scièf (chef) and food reporter … he’s really worth the follow.

Lidia’s Non solo food, in Milan

I close my list with Lidia’s @nonsolofood. In her blog, she shares many sweet and savory recipes. In her social media, she also shares a lot of recipes, but more than anything she shares about Milanese lifestyle and her sweet corgi Bruno, all through a very recognizable style, especially in her Instagram stories.

Eat well in Milan with Serena

The last Milan food blogger I want to talk to you about … is me! If you are reading this article you know that I don’t particularly love cooking, but I love trying new restaurants in Milan and talking about them. I used to only do so with friends and colleagues, now … I do it also on the web.

Of course, I didn’t mention all the Milan food blogs, because otherwise this article would be never ending! I hope you liked the ones I mentioned. Which Milanese food bloggers do you follow? Tell me on Facebook or Instagram, as always you can find me at @milanfoodieinsider!

Feel like reading something else? Here are my fav Asian restaurants in Milan, the most Instagram cafès, the most romantic restaurants for a candlelit dinner.
