Every year, the Michelin ranking of the best restaurants is compiled, and every year one wonders which city will have the most stars. This year, Munich has collected 23(+2) stars. Curious to discover which restaurants are starred in Munich?

The city of Munich boasts 15(+2) starred restaurants: two 3-star Michelin restaurant, four restaurants with 2 Michelin stars, and nine (+two in the area) restaurants with 1 Michelin star.

What are the Michelin stars?
What is the meaning of Michelin stars? According to the official definition of the Michelin Guide, 1 star indicates a very good restaurant, 2 stars indicate an excellent restaurant worth a detour, and 3 stars indicate a restaurant with exceptional cuisine worth a journey (for example, from Florence to Munich).

What identifies a Bib Gourmand restaurant in the Michelin Guide? The Bib Gourmand recognition indicates a restaurant that offers a gastronomic experience with a full menu for less than 35 euros usually. What unites Bib restaurants is a simpler style of cuisine, easily recognizable and easy to consume compared to Michelin-starred restaurants.
